How to generate an image

  1. 1

What people make with it

  • Portraits, headshots and profile pictures
  • Product photography for stores and ads
  • Thumbnails, posters and social graphics
  • Concept art, storyboards and mood boards
  • Characters for comics, games and videos
  • Starting frames for image to video clips

From image to video

Every image you create is saved to your assets, where you can reuse it as a reference or as the starting point for a video. Pick it in the video studio and animate it with Seedance 2.0, or apply one of the AI video effects such as a dolly zoom or a bullet time orbit. See the image to video guide for how it works.

Prompt tips

Lead with the subject, then add the setting, the light and the camera or style. For example: "a ceramic coffee cup on a walnut table, soft window light from the left, shallow depth of field, editorial product photo". If a detail matters, such as a logo or a face, give it as a reference image instead of trying to describe it. Change one thing at a time between generations so you can see what each change does.
