Runware Seedance alternative: the KreatorFlow API

Runware lists a per-second Seedance rate for each resolution in its model docs. Where the KreatorFlow API costs less than Runware

Price per 5-second clip and per second of video, 16:9, no video input. KreatorFlow rounds each job to the next whole token, so the per-clip price is what you are charged. Runware is shown at the price on its own model page. Only settings where KreatorFlow costs less are listed: 6 here, between 8% and 40% less per clip.

Switching from Runware

What changes in a Seedance request when you move it from Runware to the KreatorFlow API. Runware's side is described as its own API docs show it, with the link below.

  1. Send the job to POST https://kreatorflow.ai/v1/videos instead of POST https://api.runware.ai/v1 with a [{ "taskType": "videoInference" }] task array.
  2. Authenticate with Authorization: Bearer $KREATORFLOW_API_KEY, a key from the developer console, instead of Authorization: Bearer $RUNWARE_API_KEY.
  3. Name the model in the body: "kreator-video-seedance-2" for Seedance 2.0, "kreator-video-seedance-2-fast" for Seedance 2.0 Fast, "kreator-video-seedance-2-5" for Seedance 2.5.
  4. Send one JSON object instead of a task array: no taskType or taskUUID, prompt instead of positivePrompt, resolution and aspect_ratio instead of width and height, and generate_audio instead of settings.audio.
  5. Use a clip length of 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 15 seconds.
  6. Send generate_audio: true if you want audio: it is on by default there and off by default here.
  7. Replace a "getResponse" task with the taskUUID and webhookURL with webhook_url (signed with X-KreatorFlow-Signature) or GET /v1/jobs/{job_id}, and add an Idempotency-Key header so a retried request returns the same job.

Seedance API prices at volume

The prices above are our list prices. With $5,000 or more in paid top-ups over 30 days (Enterprise), Seedance video costs up to 10% less, applied automatically. Here is one clip at that price, next to the same rival price as above.

Enterprise, $5,000+ top-ups in 30 days. Rival prices are each provider's published rate on the date shown; some offer their own volume or account deals. A setting is shown at volume only where the full tier discount applies.

Volume pricing for the Seedance API

The more you top up, the less Seedance video costs. Your tier comes from the token top-ups you paid for in the last 30 days. It lowers the per-second price of Seedance video and raises your video request limit, automatically, with no contract and no sales call. If your top-ups drop, the tier moves back down.

TierPaid top-ups, last 30 daysSeedance video priceVideo requests / minuteReached in one top-up

Growth$2,500+up to 7.5% off120Volume+ pack ($2,500)
Enterprise$5,000+up to 10% off300Enterprise pack ($5,000)

Every job's quote shows your price before it runs; a few low-priced settings get a smaller discount. Smaller top-ups add up toward a tier too. Price comparisons on this site use list prices unless a price is marked as at volume. Need more volume? Custom pricing for committed monthly spend: email harry@kreatorflow.ai.

Billed per delivered second; each clip's total is rounded up to a whole token ($0.05). "see quote" means that setting gets a smaller discount on that tier, and the job's quote shows the exact price before it runs.

What the KreatorFlow API includes

  • KreatorFlow is an official partner of BytePlus, a ByteDance company, and the API runs ByteDance's Seedance models through BytePlus.
  • One API key for every model, with scoped permissions.
  • Signed webhooks for job.completed, job.failed, job.canceled and job.blocked, or poll GET /v1/jobs/{job_id}.
  • Prepaid tokens from a $20 top-up, no subscription. Tokens reserved for a job that fails are released back to your balance.

Seedance 2.0 and 2.5, 720p and above. List rate per second is the rate card price; a clip is billed at that rate and its total rounded up to whole tokens ($0.05), which is why a 5-second clip can cost a cent or two more than rate x 5. Top-up columns: 5-second clips each top-up covers, without a video input. A 10-second clip uses about twice the tokens.

FAQ

Is the KreatorFlow API cheaper than Runware for Seedance?

At every setting in the table, yes: Seedance 2.0 at 720p, 1080p and 4K, Seedance 2.0 Fast at 720p, and Seedance 2.5 at 720p and 1080p, between 8% and 40% less per clip. For example, Seedance 2.0 at 720p is $0.110 per second on KreatorFlow against $0.160 on Runware: $0.55 against $0.80 for a 5-second clip. Settings where Runware costs the same or less are not listed.

Is it the same Seedance model?

Both APIs sell ByteDance's Seedance under that name. KreatorFlow is an official partner of BytePlus, a ByteDance company.

How does KreatorFlow API billing work?

You buy prepaid tokens (1 token = $0.05, top-ups from $20). A video job costs its per-second rate times the clip length, rounded to the next whole token. Tokens reserved for a failed job are released.

Is KreatorFlow the cheapest Seedance API at 720p and 1080p?

Yes. KreatorFlow is the cheapest Seedance API at 720p and 1080p for Seedance 2.5, Seedance 2.0 and Seedance 2.0 Fast. At our list rate, a 5-second Seedance 2.5, Seedance 2.0 and Seedance 2.0 Fast video at 720p or 1080p costs less on the KreatorFlow API than the regular list price of any of the 12 other API providers we track (each provider's own page, checked 25 October 2026 to 2 November 2026). Seedance 2.0 Mini is not included: another provider lists it for the same or less at 720p.

Runware takes an array of tasks. What does a KreatorFlow request look like?

One JSON object per job, sent to POST https://kreatorflow.ai/v1/videos: model, prompt, duration, resolution, aspect_ratio and generate_audio at the top level, with no taskType or taskUUID. Use an Idempotency-Key header where you used the taskUUID to tell requests apart. The example below is a complete request.

Runware sets the size with width and height. What do I send instead?

A resolution (480p, 720p, 1080p and 4K) and an aspect_ratio such as "16:9" or "9:16"; KreatorFlow works out the frame size. Clip lengths are 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 15 seconds, so move a request of 7, 9, 11, 13 and 14 seconds to a supported length.

Runware has no minimum spend. How does KreatorFlow billing compare?

Both are pay as you go with no subscription. On KreatorFlow you buy prepaid tokens, with top-ups from $20, and a job is charged its per-second rate times the clip length, rounded to the next whole token.

Is KreatorFlow part of Runware?

No. KreatorFlow is an independent company with no connection to Runware.

Is there volume pricing for the Seedance API?

Yes. Once your paid top-ups in the last 30 days reach $1,000, Seedance video costs up to 5% less per second, rising to up to 10% off at $5,000 (Enterprise), and your video request limit goes up with each tier. It applies automatically, with no contract, and each job's quote shows your price before it runs. For more volume than that, email harry@kreatorflow.ai.
