Veo API alternative: Veo left the Gemini API, Seedance on KreatorFlow

Short answer

Google shut down the Veo 3.1 Preview models on the Gemini API on 22 October 2026, so Veo is no longer available on that API; Google names Gemini Omni Flash (gemini-omni-1.1-flash) or Veo 3.1 on Google Cloud as the way forward (checked on Google's own pages on 25 October 2026). If you need a video API now, Seedance 2.0 on the KreatorFlow API costs $0.110 per second at 720p and $0.240 at 1080p, quoted before each job. Seedance is a different model from Veo, so compare the output too.

What happened to Veo on the Gemini API?

Google's Veo page for the Gemini API says the Veo 3.1 Preview models (veo-3.1-generate-preview, veo-3.1-fast-generate-preview and veo-3.1-lite-generate-preview) were shut down on 22 October 2026. Google's deprecations page lists the same date for those three models, and 30 June 2026 for the older Veo 2.0 and Veo 3.0 model ids.

Google points developers to Gemini Omni Flash (gemini-omni-1.1-flash) on the Gemini API, or to the Veo 3.1 models on Google Cloud. The Gemini API pricing page no longer lists Veo, and the Gemini API Veo prices this page used to show have been removed.

Is Veo still available anywhere?

Yes. Veo 3.1 remains on Google Cloud: its Vertex AI documentation (now titled Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform) still lists Veo 3.1 and Veo 3.1 Fast. We could not read a per-second price at a stated resolution on Google Cloud's pricing page, so we do not print one. Check Google Cloud directly if you want to stay on Veo.

What does Seedance cost on the KreatorFlow API?

ByteDance's Seedance models on the KreatorFlow API, billed per second of output video in prepaid tokens of $0.05, from the developer API rate card:

Seedance 2.0$0.076/s$0.110/s$0.240/s$0.580/s
Seedance 2.5$0.143/s$0.207/s$0.444/s$0.999/s

Seedance 2.0 Mini$0.058/s$0.067/s$0.135/sNot offered

Without a video input, generated audio included. A job that takes video in also bills the input seconds at a reduced rate. Each job is quoted before it runs.

What does the KreatorFlow API offer?

The main facts, from the KreatorFlow API model list:

ModelsSeedance 2.0, 2.0 Fast, 2.0 Mini and 2.5 (ByteDance), plus Seedream images and audio
BillingPrepaid tokens of $0.05, per second of output video, quoted before each job runs
Clip length and resolution4 to 15 s on Seedance 2.0; 480p, 720p, 1080p and 4K
ReferencesUp to 9 images, 3 video clips and 3 audio clips per job
Job resultsSigned webhooks or polling, plus an MCP server for Claude and ChatGPT

How do you move a Veo integration to the KreatorFlow API?

  • Create an API key in the KreatorFlow developer console and top up tokens.
  • Send POST /v1/videos with a model, prompt, duration, resolution and aspect ratio; the response quotes the job's cost before it runs.
  • Receive the result by signed webhook, or poll GET /v1/jobs/{id}, then download the file.
  • Pass reference images, clips or audio by URL or upload. Prompts written for Veo usually need light rewording, because Seedance is a different model.

Who runs the models on KreatorFlow?

KreatorFlow is an official partner of BytePlus, a ByteDance company. Built on BytePlus, a ByteDance company. The API serves ByteDance's Seedance video models and Seedream image models.

Is there volume pricing?

The more you top up, the less Seedance video costs. Your tier comes from the token top-ups you paid for in the last 30 days. It lowers the per-second price of Seedance video and raises your video request limit, automatically, with no contract and no sales call. If your top-ups drop, the tier moves back down.

StandardAnyList price20–
Scale$1,000+up to 5% off60Volume pack ($1,250)
Growth$2,500+up to 7.5% off120Volume+ pack ($2,500)
Enterprise$5,000+up to 10% off300Enterprise pack ($5,000)

Every job's quote shows your price before it runs; a few low-priced settings get a smaller discount. Smaller top-ups add up toward a tier too. Price comparisons on this site use list prices unless a price is marked as at volume. Need more volume? Custom pricing for committed monthly spend: email harry@kreatorflow.ai.

How we checked

The Veo facts on this page come only from Google's own pages, read on 25 October 2026: the Gemini API Veo page, the Gemini API deprecations page and the Veo 3.1 page on Google Cloud. KreatorFlow prices come from the developer API rate card, the same code that quotes and bills your jobs. We print no Veo price because none could be read for a current Veo offer at a stated resolution.

Other video APIs we compare: Runway API and Luma API (Ray3.2). Seedance prices across API providers are on the AI video API price tracker.

Seedance API price per second on KreatorFlow

Seedance 2.0 and 2.5, 720p and above. List rate per second is the rate card price; a clip is billed at that rate and its total rounded up to whole tokens ($0.05), which is why a 5-second clip can cost a cent or two more than rate x 5. Top-up columns: 5-second clips each top-up covers, without a video input. A 10-second clip uses about twice the tokens.

Frequently asked questions

Was Veo shut down on the Gemini API?

Yes. Google says the Veo 3.1 Preview models (veo-3.1-generate-preview, veo-3.1-fast-generate-preview and veo-3.1-lite-generate-preview) on the Gemini API were shut down on 22 October 2026, and the older Veo 2.0 and 3.0 model ids were scheduled for 30 June 2026 (Google's Gemini API deprecations page, checked 25 October 2026).

What does Google recommend instead?

Google names Gemini Omni Flash (gemini-omni-1.1-flash) on the Gemini API, or the Veo 3.1 models on Google Cloud (Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform).

Can I still use Veo 3.1 through an API?

Google Cloud's documentation still lists Veo 3.1 and Veo 3.1 Fast. We could not read their price per second at a stated resolution, so this page does not quote one.

Is Seedance the same as Veo?

No. Seedance is ByteDance's video model and Veo is Google's, so results differ. Test a few prompts on both before you move a production workload.

How is the KreatorFlow API billed?

With prepaid tokens of $0.05. Each video job is billed per second of output at a rate that rises with resolution, quoted before it runs. A job that takes video in also bills the input seconds at a reduced rate.

Is there volume pricing for the Seedance API?

Yes. Once your paid top-ups in the last 30 days reach $1,000, Seedance video costs up to 5% less per second, rising to up to 10% off at $5,000 (Enterprise), and your video request limit goes up with each tier. It applies automatically, with no contract, and each job's quote shows your price before it runs. For more volume than that, email harry@kreatorflow.ai.

Does the KreatorFlow API have webhooks?

Yes. Pass a webhook URL and the API posts a signed event when the job finishes; you can also poll the job.
