An honest comparison
Runway is a well known AI video platform with its own video models and a range of editing tools. When we checked its official pricing page on 29 September 2026, it listed a free plan with 125 one-time credits and paid Standard, Pro and Max plans. Plans, credit amounts and model lineups change, so please check Runway's current pricing page on the day you decide.
We are not going to claim KreatorFlow is better at everything. What we can do is be exact about our own product. KreatorFlow is an independent studio and an official partner of BytePlus, a ByteDance company. Powered by ByteDance's Seedance 2.0 and Seedream models via BytePlus, a ByteDance company, and every price on this page is calculated from the same credit rules the studio uses when you press generate. Nothing here is an estimate.
People usually look for a Runway alternative for one of a few reasons: they want to use ByteDance's Seedance models, they want to see the credit cost of a clip before they render it, they want to top up without another subscription, or they want an API they can call from their own code. If one of those sounds like you, read on.

The models you can use
Each model is picked in the studio, and the credit cost updates before you generate.
Seedance 2.5
The newest Seedance model, with clips of up to 30 seconds. 5 seconds at 720p costs 24 credits.
Seedance 2.0
4 to 15 second clips from 720p to 4K, with up to 9 image, 3 video and 3 audio references. 5 seconds at 720p costs 15 credits.
Seedance 2.0 Fast
Quicker, cheaper renders for drafts and iteration, up to 1080p. 5 seconds at 720p costs 12 credits.
Seedance 2.0 Mini
The cheapest option for high-volume tests. 5 seconds at 720p costs 9 credits.
Seedance 1.5
Prompt and starting-frame video, where a character or image becomes the opening frame. 5 seconds at 720p costs 5 credits.
Seedream 5.0 Pro
Higher-detail stills at 1K or 2K: 2 credits at 1K, 4 credits at 2K.
Seedream 4.5
The default image model, 1K to 4K, at 2 credits per image.
Pricing you can check before you render
Everything on KreatorFlow runs on credits. The studio shows the exact cost of a render before you start it, and the same numbers are published on the pricing page. A 5-second Seedance 2.0 clip costs 15 credits at 720p and 30 credits at 1080p. Drafts on Seedance 2.0 Fast cost 12 credits for the same 5 seconds at 720p, so you can test an idea cheaply and only pay for a high resolution render once the shot works.
Monthly plans start with Creator at $19 for the first month, then $25 a month. If you would rather not add another subscription, credit packs start at $8 for 160 credits and do not renew. Free accounts can make video on Seedance 2 Fast and Seedance 2.0 Mini at 720p, queued and rate limited. A plan adds every video model, 1080p and above, and no queue. Image generation works on any account, and new accounts get 25 starter credits to try it.
Failed generations are refunded automatically, so you do not lose credits when a render is rejected or times out.
Seedance price: KreatorFlow vs Runway
Both run ByteDance's Seedance, so this compares the same model. One 5-second clip, at the lowest monthly list price on each side, using the rates Runway publishes.
| Model and resolution | KreatorFlow | Runway | KreatorFlow vs them |
|---|---|---|---|
| Seedance 2.0, 1080p | $1.19 on Max | about $2 on Max | 40% cheaper on KreatorFlow |
KreatorFlow at each plan's regular monthly price for its monthly credits. Rates marked about are printed with ~ by the provider, or scaled to 5 seconds from a 4-second price.
Prices checked on each provider's own pricing page: runway.com/pricing (30 October 2026). Prices change. Check each provider's page on the day you decide. Price your own batch in the cost calculator.
1080p and 4K when you need them
Seedance 2.0 delivers 720p, 1080p and 4K video in 16:9, 4:3, 1:1, 3:4, 9:16, 21:9 aspect ratios. 1080p is on every paid plan, and 4K is available on the Pro, Max and Business plans. Pro starts at $35 for the first month. A 5-second 4K clip costs 70 credits, and you can reference up to 9 images, 3 video clips and 3 audio files in a single render.
Unrestricted video on higher plans
On the Pro, Max and Business plans, video renders go to BytePlus's unrestricted Seedance endpoints, which apply fewer content filters to ordinary creative work such as action, horror or realistic people. The rules that protect people still apply. Anything involving minors, non-consensual imagery of real people, impersonation and anything illegal is still not allowed on any plan. The Acceptable Use Policy covers every account.
An API for Seedance and Seedream
If you build products, the Seedance 2.0 API gives you the same models from your own code: one KreatorFlow key, prepaid tokens at $0.05 each, uploads, signed webhooks and idempotent requests. There is no monthly fee, and tokens reserved for a job that fails are released back to your balance. The documentation lives at developers.kreatorflow.ai.
What to compare before you choose
- Which video and image models each platform offers today
- The real cost of one finished clip at the resolution you need
- Whether you can top up credits without another subscription
- The resolutions and clip lengths on the plan you would buy
- Whether characters stay consistent across images and videos
- Whether there is an API if you want to automate later
Why creators pick KreatorFlow
One workspace. Design a character in the character studio, make stills with Seedream in the image studio, then animate them with Seedance. Everything lands in the same asset library, and a saved character keeps the same face in every image and clip.
Camera templates that stay editable. Each template is a written camera recipe with matched settings, such as a crane reveal or a dolly zoom. You describe your own subject, keep control of quality and aspect ratio, and a template adds only 2 credits to the render.
Clear costs. The cost of every render is visible before you generate, and the same numbers appear on the pricing page, so there are no surprises at the end of the month.
Try a camera template
Every template has its own page with a preview, the credit cost and a one-click link into the studio.

Crane Down Sky Reveal
50 creditsThe camera descends from high above, through a layer of cloud or canopy, to reveal your subject at ground level.

Dolly Zoom
26 creditsThe Vertigo effect: the subject stays the same size while the background stretches away behind them.

FPV Drone
50 creditsAn aggressive FPV dive down the side of a building, banking through a gap and pulling up into a low glide.

Product Reveal
38 creditsA short cinematic reveal with a smooth camera move and premium lighting for ads and storefronts.

Questions
Is KreatorFlow a good Runway alternative?
It depends on what you make. KreatorFlow is an official partner of BytePlus, a ByteDance company, and it focuses on ByteDance's Seedance video models and Seedream images, with camera templates, reusable characters and a developer API in one place. Runway has its own models and editing tools. If Seedance is the model you want, KreatorFlow runs it directly through BytePlus.
Which AI video models does KreatorFlow use?
KreatorFlow runs ByteDance's Seedance models for video and Seedream models for images, through BytePlus, a ByteDance company. The exact lineup, with the credit cost of each model, is listed on this page and in the studio.
Can I buy credits without a subscription?
Yes. Credit packs start at $8 for 160 credits and do not renew. Free accounts can make video on Seedance 2 Fast and Seedance 2.0 Mini at 720p. Free video is queued and rate limited. A plan adds every video model, including Seedance 2.0 and 2.5, 720p and 1080p (4K on Pro and above), no queue and more credits. Developers can use the API with prepaid tokens at $0.05 each and no monthly fee.
Does KreatorFlow render 1080p and 4K video?
Yes. Seedance 2.0 delivers 720p, 1080p and 4K output. 1080p is on every paid plan, and 4K is available on the Pro, Max and Business plans. A 5-second clip costs 30 credits at 1080p and 70 credits at 4K.
How should I compare KreatorFlow and Runway fairly?
Run the same prompt, length and resolution on both, then compare the result, the total credits spent and the time it took. Check Runway's current pricing page on the day you compare, since plans, credits and model lineups change often.
Who owns the videos and images I make?
You do, to the extent the law allows: our Terms say generated images and videos produced by the service are owned by you. AI-generated content may not be copyrightable in every country, and you need the rights to anything you upload as a reference.
Do you train AI models on my prompts or videos?
No. We do not use your private prompts, uploads or generated outputs to train AI models without your explicit opt-in consent.
What happens if a generation fails?
The credits come back automatically. A failed or rejected generation is refunded to your balance, and your credits page shows every charge and refund.
Do unused plan credits roll over?
Credits from full-price months roll over and stack while your plan is active. Credits from a discounted month (such as your first month or a sale) are used first and expire at your next renewal. Credit packs last 12 months from purchase.
