How to compare them on your own shot

  1. 1

    Write one prompt

Use the clip you actually need: a product shot, a character line, a short story beat. Describe the subject, the action and the camera.

  2. 2

Run it on Wan 3.0 Prime

Pick Wan 3.0 Prime in the video studio at 720p and 5 seconds. It is the cheaper draft.

  3. 3

    Run it on Seedance 2.5

Switch the model menu to Seedance 2.5 with the same settings, and add references if your shot needs them.

  4. 4

    Keep the better take

Watch both with sound. Render the final version at 1080p on the model that won.

Same-prompt test (November 2026)

We ran the same three prompts on Wan 3.0 Prime and Seedance 2.5: a talking close-up, a product shot and an action shot with a camera move. Same length, aspect ratio and resolution on both, one take per clip, nothing picked from several tries. Under each clip: its price per second on the API and in credits (both read from our pricing code), and how long it took to generate.

Talking close-up

Close-up portrait, vertical. A clearly AI-generated, ordinary-looking woman in her thirties with short curly auburn hair and a plain green knit sweater sits in a sunlit kitchen, looks into the camera, smiles and says warmly: "Morning! Let's get the coffee on." Soft natural window light, shallow depth of field, gentle handheld feel.

Which looked better: Close call. Wan 3.0 Prime gave the brighter, livelier smile straight to camera; Seedance 2.5 has the more natural, film-like light but a quieter delivery.

Product shot

Product shot, vertical. A plain matte white ceramic coffee mug with no logo or text stands on a light oak table, thin steam rising. The camera slowly orbits halfway around the mug. Soft morning light, clean minimal background, shallow depth of field, crisp detail.

Which looked better: Wan 3.0 Prime looked better here: it actually moved around the mug as asked, while Seedance 2.5 held an almost still frame (with nicer light and steam).

Action shot with a camera move

Action shot, vertical. A cyclist in a plain red jacket and black helmet speeds down a winding mountain road at sunset. The camera starts low behind the bike, then rises smoothly into a high drone shot that reveals the green valley below. Natural motion blur, cinematic.

Which looked better: Split. Wan 3.0 Prime made the cleaner rise into a drone shot with the rider still in frame, but in daylight, not at sunset; Seedance 2.5 kept the sunset but lost the rider in the reveal.

Tested on 2 November 2026 in the KreatorFlow video studio. Generation time runs from submit to the finished file, rounded to the nearest 10 seconds; it is one run, not a benchmark, and includes any queue wait (we sent all 18 test clips at once). Every render is a new take, so your own run will differ. The people in these clips are AI-generated. Only the talking clips have sound.

Which should you choose, Wan 3.0 or Seedance 2.5?

Choose by budget and delivery size. Both make up to 30 seconds in one take and both take references. Wan 3.0 Prime is the low-cost option for everyday clips; Seedance 2.5 is the one for 4K and for Kitsune, KreatorFlow's motion transfer studio. Standard Wan 3.0 is cheaper still: 9 credits at 720p and 18 at 1080p.

  • Lots of short social clips, drafts and variations: Wan 3.0 Prime, at about 38% fewer credits than Seedance 2.5 at 720p for the same length.
  • 4K delivery: Seedance 2.5.
  • A camera move from a clip, or a rhythm from a track: both. Wan 3.0 takes 5 clips and 5 audio files; Seedance 2.5 takes 3 clips and 3 audio files. Reference clip seconds are billed on both.
  • Your saved characters or product photos: both. Wan 3.0 takes up to 10 images; Seedance 2.5 takes up to 9.
  • Results sooner on Wan: Wan 3.0 Prime, Wan's fast mode.

What is Wan 3.0?

Wan 3.0 is Alibaba's video generation model, launched in August 2026. It makes a clip from a text prompt, from a first frame (or a first and a last frame) or from reference images, clips and audio, with generated sound. Wan 3.0 Prime is the same model in a much faster mode.

In the KreatorFlow studio, Wan 3.0 makes 4 to 30 second clips at 720p and 1080p in 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:3, 3:4 and 21:9, and takes up to 10 images or saved characters, 5 clips (15 s in total) and 5 audio files, with saved characters called by @handle.

What is Seedance 2.5?

Seedance 2.5 is ByteDance's newest video model. On KreatorFlow it makes one continuous shot of 4 to 30 seconds at 720p, 1080p and 4K, and it is built for reference-led work: up to 9 images, 3 clips and 3 audio files in one render. KreatorFlow is an official partner of BytePlus, a ByteDance company.

Which is cheaper, Wan 3.0 or Seedance 2.5?

Wan 3.0 Prime costs 15 credits for 5 seconds at 720p and 30 at 1080p. Seedance 2.5 costs 24 and 50. Sound is free on both. Standard Wan 3.0 is cheaper still: 9 credits at 720p and 18 at 1080p.

Against other sites, Wan 3.0 on KreatorFlow is also cheaper than the studios and APIs we checked; see the Wan 3.0 price comparison for every setting and source.

How do you use both together?

Draft on Wan 3.0 Prime: try the idea, the framing and the line of dialogue at 720p for 15 credits a go. When a shot needs to go out in 4K or through Kitsune, rebuild it on Seedance 2.5 with the prompt you already tested.

Saved characters work on both, so the same face can carry from your Wan drafts to your Seedance finals.

What this guide does not claim

Our same-prompt test above is three prompts with one take each, run on 2 November 2026. It shows how each model handled those prompts that day, not which model is better at everything: run your own shot on both before you commit. Every price on this page comes from the KreatorFlow studio's own code, and the outside facts about Wan 3.0 come from Alibaba's own pages, linked under the table.
