At the same length and resolution, Seedance 2.0 costs less. Use the table below for 15 and 30 seconds.
- 3
Draft on 2.0, finish on 2.5 if needed

Same-prompt test (November 2026)
We ran the same two prompts on Seedance 2.5 and Seedance 2.0: a product shot and an action shot with a camera move. Same length, aspect ratio and resolution on both, one take per clip, nothing picked from several tries. Under each clip: its price per second on the API and in credits (both read from our pricing code), and how long it took to generate.

Product shot
Product shot, vertical. A plain matte white ceramic coffee mug with no logo or text stands on a light oak table, thin steam rising. The camera slowly orbits halfway around the mug. Soft morning light, clean minimal background, shallow depth of field, crisp detail.

Watch full sizeWhich looked better: A tie. Neither really orbited the mug: Seedance 2.5 pushed in slowly with softer light, Seedance 2.0 held still with crisper wood grain.
Action shot with a camera move
Action shot, vertical. A cyclist in a plain red jacket and black helmet speeds down a winding mountain road at sunset. The camera starts low behind the bike, then rises smoothly into a high drone shot that reveals the green valley below. Natural motion blur, cinematic.

Tested on 2 November 2026 in the KreatorFlow video studio. Generation time runs from submit to the finished file, rounded to the nearest 10 seconds; it is one run, not a benchmark, and includes any queue wait (we sent all 18 test clips at once). Every render is a new take, so your own run will differ. The people in these clips are AI-generated. Only the talking clips have sound. The talking close-up is left out of this pair: Seedance 2.5's first take was stopped by its copyright check (refunded), and the retry gave a face too close to a real actress to publish.
One 30-second take or 2 × 15-second takes?
A 30-second shot on Seedance 2.5 at 720p costs 140 credits. The same length from 2 Seedance 2.0 clips costs 90 credits (about $5.54 against $3.56 at Max plan credit prices).
The difference is the cut. One take keeps the camera, the light and the character continuous. 2 takes need a join, and each take is generated on its own, so details can shift between them. If the shot can be cut, Seedance 2.0 saves credits; if it must be one continuous move, use Seedance 2.5.
What stays the same
Both are ByteDance Seedance models and take the same prompt format. On KreatorFlow, Seedance 2.5 offers 720p, 1080p, 4K and Seedance 2.0 offers 720p, 1080p, 4K. 1080p is on every paid plan; 4K needs a Pro, Max or Business plan.
KreatorFlow is an official partner of BytePlus, a ByteDance company, so every Seedance clip on KreatorFlow runs on ByteDance's own models through BytePlus.
