What Seedance 2.5 is good at

Seedance 2.0 and the other studio models stop at 15 seconds, which forces longer ideas into several generations that then have to be cut together. Seedance 2.5 lets you ask for 30 seconds in one shot, so a walk through a location, a product demo, a slow reveal or a short dialogue beat can play out as one continuous take with the same lighting and the same subject from start to finish.

It follows camera direction written in plain language: a slow push-in, an orbit, a crane down or a handheld feel. It also reads references. Add up to 9 images for faces, products or style, up to 3 clips for motion, and up to 3 audio files for rhythm or voice, or call a saved character by its @handle to keep the same person on screen.

In the studio, Seedance 2.5 sits next to Seedance 2.0, Seedance 2 Fast and Seedance 1.5, so you can draft an idea cheaply on a faster model and switch to 2.5 when you need the length.

Clips of 4 to 30 seconds

Pick 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 15, 20, 25, 30 seconds. Longer clips cost proportionally more credits.

720p to 4K

Draft and post at 720p, deliver at 1080p on any paid plan, or 4K on Pro, Max and Business. Higher resolutions cost more credits.

Every feed format

Render 16:9, 4:3, 1:1, 3:4, 9:16, 21:9. Vertical 9:16 for Reels, Shorts and TikTok, 16:9 or 21:9 for widescreen.

Generated audio

Switch on audio and the model generates sound with the picture. On Seedance 2.5 it does not change the credit cost.

Reference-led video

Guide one generation with up to 9 images, 3 clips and 3 audio references. Frame-anchored and video-referenced jobs follow the aspect ratio of your input.

Clean downloads

No visible watermark or logo on the file you download, on any plan that can render video.

How Seedance 2.5 compares with Seedance 2.0

Seedance 2.0 is the previous model. Both sit in the same model menu and take the same references.

The difference is length: Seedance 2.5 renders up to 30 seconds in one take and accepts longer audio references, while Seedance 2.0 stops at 15 seconds and costs fewer credits per clip. Draft short tests on 2.0 and switch to 2.5 when the shot needs the time. See the Seedance 2.0 video generator for the shorter model.

Does Seedance 2.5 make audio?

Yes. Switch on audio in the studio and Seedance 2.5 generates sound with the picture in the same render, timed to the action. It does not change the credit cost: a clip with audio costs the same as one without.

To steer the sound, add up to 3 audio references of 2 to 30 seconds each for music, rhythm or a voice. To add captions afterwards, use the free video editor.

Why do sites list different resolutions for Seedance 2.5?

Because it depends on where you run it and on which plan. In the KreatorFlow studio Seedance 2.5 offers 720p, 1080p and 4K; the Creator plan renders up to 1080p and Pro, Max and Business add 4K. The developer API takes 480p, 720p, 1080p and 4K. When you compare prices, compare the same resolution on the plan you would actually buy.

How long does a Seedance 2.5 clip take to render?

Longer than most short-clip models, so plan for it. The studio's own estimates, fitted from finished Seedance 2.5 jobs in early October 2026, are about 3 minutes for 5 seconds at 720p, about 5 minutes for 30 seconds at 720p and about 7 minutes for 30 seconds at 1080p. The progress bar follows live timings, and you can keep working while it renders.

Can I use a real person's face?

Yes, if you have their permission. Save the photo as a character and call it by its @handle: photo references and saved characters are registered in BytePlus's asset library and reviewed before the render, which is the route BytePlus provides for real-person references. That review can occasionally refuse a photo, and anything involving minors, sexual content of real people or impersonation is refused on every plan.

Source: Consistent AI characters

Do I pay for a refused or failed clip?

No. If the provider refuses a request or a render fails, the credits go back to your balance automatically. A refusal can arrive only after the render time, so rephrase the flagged part (a named brand, film or real person) rather than retrying the same prompt.

BytePlus mentions up to 50 references. How many can I use here?

BytePlus describes Seedance 2.5 as taking up to 50 multimodal references. In the KreatorFlow studio one generation takes up to 9 images, 3 clips and 3 audio files, the same as Seedance 2.0, and a saved character counts as one @handle. In practice a few well-named references ("the face from image 1", "the camera move from the clip") steer a long take better than many loose ones.

Can I make a video longer than 30 seconds?

Not in one generation: 30 seconds is the longest single take. For a longer piece, plan it as several 30-second shots with the same saved character and the same light, then join them in the free online video editor.

What a Seedance 2.5 clip costs

Credits scale with length and resolution. These numbers come from the same code the studio charges with.

5 seconds at 1080p

At 720p, 5 seconds costs 24 credits, 15 seconds costs 70 credits, 30 seconds costs 140 credits. For comparison, 5 seconds of Seedance 2.0 at 720p costs 15 credits, so it is worth drafting short tests on 2.0 or 2 Fast. Plans start at $19 for the first month on Creator. See pricing for every plan and credit pack.

Prompting tips for 30-second clips

Write the clip as a short sequence of beats rather than one sentence. One subject and one continuous camera path keep long clips coherent; several unrelated actions in one prompt tend to blur together.

If the same person has to appear in several clips, create them once in the AI character generator. To animate a photo you already have, start from image to video. For ready-made camera moves, the video effects templates set everything up for you.

Seedance 2.5 prompt examples

Each prompt describes one continuous take from start to end. Copy one and change the subject, place and camera path.

  • One-take location walk

Wide shot of a quiet street at dusk. The camera pushes slowly towards a lit cafe window, drifts inside past the counter and settles on a barista pouring latte art. Warm practical lights, light rain outside, soft ambient cafe sound.

    Seedance 2.5, 30 seconds, 720p, 16:9.

  • Product reveal

A matte black wireless speaker on a stone plinth in a dark studio. A thin rim light sweeps across it, the camera orbits half way round, then pushes in on the logo as the speaker pulses with a low bass note.

Seedance 2.5, 15 seconds, 1080p, 1:1. Add product photos as image references.

  • Vertical story beat

Handheld close-up of a runner tying her shoes at sunrise, she stands, the camera follows her from behind along a coastal path, then rises to show the sea and the low sun ahead.

    Seedance 2.5, 20 seconds, 720p, 9:16. Use a saved character's @handle for the runner.

  • Music-led montage

A neon-lit night market seen through one smooth crane shot: steam from food stalls, people laughing, lanterns swaying, the camera rising above the crowd on the final beat.

Seedance 2.5, 30 seconds, 720p, 21:9. Add a track as an audio reference for the rhythm.

Seedance 2.5 questions

What is Seedance 2.5?

Seedance 2.5 is the newest video generation model from ByteDance. KreatorFlow is an official partner of BytePlus, a ByteDance company, built on BytePlus, and runs Seedance 2.5 in its video studio next to Seedance 2.0. Its headline change for creators is length: one generation can run for up to 30 seconds.

How is Seedance 2.5 different from Seedance 2.0?

Seedance 2.0 makes clips of 4 to 15 seconds; Seedance 2.5 goes up to 30 seconds in one shot. Both take the same references (9 images, 3 clips, 3 audio files) and render 720p to 4K in the studio. Seedance 2.5 costs more per second, so Seedance 2.0 and Seedance 2 Fast remain the cheaper choice for short clips and drafts. Editing an existing video (transform, restyle, extend) still runs on Seedance 2.0.

How many credits does a Seedance 2.5 video cost?

A 5-second clip costs 24 credits at 720p, 50 credits at 1080p, 120 credits at 4K. At 720p, 5 seconds costs 24 credits, 15 seconds costs 70 credits, 30 seconds costs 140 credits. Generated audio does not change the price. The studio shows the exact cost before you generate, and failed jobs are refunded automatically.

Which plan do I need for Seedance 2.5?

Seedance 2.5 needs a plan, starting with Creator, which renders 720p and 1080p. Pro, Max and Business also render 4K. New accounts get 25 one-time starter credits for images and video. Free video covers Seedance 2 Fast and Seedance 2.0 Mini at 720p only, queued and rate limited. Other video models and 1080p and above need a plan.

How long can a Seedance 2.5 video be?

One generation can be 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 15, 20, 25, 30 seconds long, so up to 30 seconds in a single take. Seedance 2.0 stops at 15 seconds.

Does Seedance 2.5 make audio?

Yes. Switch on audio and Seedance 2.5 generates sound with the picture in the same render, at no extra credits: a clip with audio costs the same as one without. You can also guide it with up to 3 audio references for music, rhythm or voice.

Can Seedance 2.5 follow an audio reference?

Yes. Add up to 3 audio files for rhythm, music or voice. On Seedance 2.5 each one can be 2 to 30 seconds long; on Seedance 2.0 the limit is 15 seconds.

Which aspect ratios does Seedance 2.5 support?

16:9, 4:3, 1:1, 3:4, 9:16, 21:9. Jobs anchored on a frame or a video reference follow the aspect ratio of your input.

Does Seedance 2.5 add a watermark?

No. KreatorFlow requests every Seedance render with the provider watermark switched off and adds no logo of its own, so the clip you download is clean.

Is Seedance 2.5 available through an API?

Yes. The KreatorFlow developer API exposes it as kreator-video-seedance-2-5 for clips of up to 30 seconds at 480p, 720p, 1080p or 4K, billed in prepaid tokens. Seedance 2.5 on the KreatorFlow API is the cheapest at 720p and 1080p: $1.05 for a 5-second video at 720p and $2.25 at 1080p at our list rate, below all 12 other API providers we track (regular list prices, checked 25 October 2026 to 2 November 2026). See the Seedance API page for details.
