| Seedance 2.5 · 4K | 100/5s | $5.00 | $0.999/s | 4 | 10 | 20 | 50 |
Seedance 2.0 and 2.5, 720p and above. List rate per second is the rate card price; a clip is billed at that rate and its total rounded up to whole tokens ($0.05), which is why a 5-second clip can cost a cent or two more than rate x 5. Top-up columns: 5-second clips each top-up covers, without a video input. A 10-second clip uses about twice the tokens.
The short answer
Most teams end up using two tiers, not one: a budget tier for the many tries it takes to get a shot right, and a top tier for the version that ships. Because every tier takes the same request body, the switch is two fields (model and resolution), and the seed and prompt carry over.
If one shot has to run long without a cut, Seedance 2.5 is the tier that goes to 30 seconds in one take. For 4K delivery, use Seedance 2.5 or Seedance 2.0.
When should I use the Seedance 2.5 API?
Seedance 2.5 is the newest Seedance model from ByteDance. It renders single clips of up to 30 seconds and takes image, video and audio references in the same request, so a product, a character or a voice can carry through a whole shot.
Alias: kreator-video-seedance-2-5. Longest clip: 30 seconds. Top resolution: 4K. From $0.207 per second at 720p.
- Long single shots and talking-head clips up to 30 seconds
- Ads that need a product or character to stay the same from start to end
- Scenes led by a reference clip or an audio track
When should I use the Seedance 2.0 API?
Seedance 2.0 is ByteDance's cinematic video model: strong camera motion, reference-led shots and edits of a source clip, rendered at up to 4K. It is the model most Seedance API integrations start with.
Alias: kreator-video-pro. Longest clip: 15 seconds. Top resolution: 4K. From $0.110 per second at 720p.
- Cinematic text to video and image to video
- First and last frame transitions
- Restyling or extending a clip you own, up to 4K
When should I use the Seedance 2.0 Fast API?
Seedance 2.0 Fast is the quicker, lower-cost tier of Seedance 2. It keeps the same prompt and reference format, so you can draft with Fast and render the keeper with Seedance 2.0 by changing one field.
Alias: kreator-video-fast. Longest clip: 10 seconds. Top resolution: 1080p. From $0.084 per second at 720p.
- UGC hooks and social clips
- Motion tests before a full render
- Batches of variants for A/B tests
When should I use the Seedance 2.0 Mini API?
Seedance 2.0 Mini is the cheapest Seedance 2 model. It is built for volume: drafts, previews and pipelines that render many short clips and keep only the best.
Alias: kreator-video-mini. Longest clip: 10 seconds. Top resolution: 1080p. From $0.067 per second at 720p.
- High-volume pipelines and previews
- Drafts and storyboards
- A/B variants at the lowest price per clip
Switching tiers in code
Keep the prompt, duration, aspect ratio and seed fixed and change only model and resolution. The draft tells you whether the idea works; the final is the same idea at full quality.
curl: draft, then final
# Draft: the same request on the budget tier curl https://kreatorflow.ai/v1/videos \ -H "Authorization: Bearer $KREATORFLOW_API_KEY" \ -H "Content-Type: application/json" \ -H "Idempotency-Key: lighthouse-draft-001" \ -d '{"model": "kreator-video-mini", "prompt": "storm waves break against a lighthouse at dusk, slow push in", "duration": 5, "aspect_ratio": "16:9", "resolution": "720p", "seed": 7}' # Final: change the model and resolution, keep everything else curl https://kreatorflow.ai/v1/videos \ -H "Authorization: Bearer $KREATORFLOW_API_KEY" \ -H "Content-Type: application/json" \ -H "Idempotency-Key: lighthouse-final-001" \ -d '{"model": "kreator-video-pro", "prompt": "storm waves break against a lighthouse at dusk, slow push in", "duration": 5, "aspect_ratio": "16:9", "resolution": "1080p", "seed": 7}'
What drafting on a budget tier saves
A typical ad campaign: 20 five-second drafts and 4 finals. Drafting on Seedance 2.0 Mini at 720p and rendering the finals on Seedance 2.0 at 1080p costs $11.80. Making all 24 clips on Seedance 2.0 at 1080p would cost $28.80.
The bigger the batch, the more this matters: in a pipeline that makes variants for testing, most clips are never shipped.
Which resolution should each tier run at?
Price per second rises with resolution on every tier, so match the resolution to where the clip ends up. 720p is enough for drafts, previews and most phone-first social feeds. 1080p is the safe default for anything you publish. 4K is for large screens, client masters and footage you will crop or reframe later.
- Drafts and A/B variants: 720p or lower on Mini or Fast
- Social posts and ads: 1080p
- Client masters, big screens, footage you will crop: 4K on Seedance 2.0 or 2.5
How references change the price
Image references do not change the price per second. A job that takes video in (a reference clip, or the source clip of a video edit) is billed on the input seconds plus the output seconds at 60% of the model's normal per-second rate, and is never cheaper than the same job without video input. The quote in the create response shows the exact cost before the job runs.
Volume pricing for the Seedance API
The more you top up, the less Seedance video costs. Your tier comes from the token top-ups you paid for in the last 30 days. It lowers the per-second price of Seedance video and raises your video request limit, automatically, with no contract and no sales call. If your top-ups drop, the tier moves back down.
Every job's quote shows your price before it runs; a few low-priced settings get a smaller discount. Smaller top-ups add up toward a tier too. Price comparisons on this site use list prices unless a price is marked as at volume. Need more volume? Custom pricing for committed monthly spend: email harry@kreatorflow.ai.

Frequently asked questions
Which Seedance tier is cheapest?
Seedance 2.0 Mini, then Fast. Seedance 2.0 Mini and Seedance 2.0 Fast both top out at 1080p and 10 seconds.
Which Seedance tier looks best?
Seedance 2.5 and 2.0 at 1080p or 4K. 2.5 also handles long single takes and audio references.
Can I switch tiers without changing code?
Yes. Every tier takes the same request; change the model field.
Does a reference video change the price?
Yes. A job that takes video in is billed on the input seconds plus the output seconds, at 60% of the model's normal per-second rate, and is never cheaper than the same job without video input. The console quotes every job before it runs.
Seedance 2.5 vs 2.0 API: what is the difference?
Seedance 2.5 runs to 30 seconds in one take and takes image, video and audio references together; Seedance 2.0 runs to 15 seconds. Both go up to 4K. At 720p, Seedance 2.5 is $0.207 and Seedance 2.0 is $0.110 per second.
Seedance 2.0 Fast vs Mini: which should I use?
Both are budget tiers for drafts and volume. At 720p, Fast is $0.084 and Mini is $0.067 per second. Draft on the cheaper one and compare a few clips side by side before you commit a pipeline to it.
Which Seedance API supports 4K?
Seedance 2.5 and Seedance 2.0. The budget tiers stop at 1080p.
What is the longest Seedance video the API can make?
Seedance 2.5: 30 seconds in one take. For longer videos, make several clips and join them.
Is there a volume discount on every tier?
Yes. Volume tiers lower the per-second price of Seedance video on every model, up to 10% off at Enterprise. On a few low-priced settings the discount is smaller; the quote always shows the price you pay.
Is there volume pricing for the Seedance API?
Yes. Once your paid top-ups in the last 30 days reach $1,000, Seedance video costs up to 5% less per second, rising to up to 10% off at $5,000 (Enterprise), and your video request limit goes up with each tier. It applies automatically, with no contract, and each job's quote shows your price before it runs. For more volume than that, email harry@kreatorflow.ai.
